Notes
Spoke to Tom Long today. The event is confirmed for Saturday March 17th. Flyers are being sent out via mail this weekend. Tom spoke with Darryl Nance yesterday and has confirmed the friday night BBQ at D&P Chevy.

Tom is very happy to have us again this year. He emphasized that this is not an event specific to Woodies. This show is for all wagons. Promotion of the event is appreciated and encouraged.

Tom said there is a limited supply of Beachcruiser event shirts available from the 2006 show. I'm going to get one or two. If your interested, let me know and I'll post required info for getting a shirt.

Received the flyer and registration form via mail yesterday. They also sent a nice color post card. See the registration form above. Maybe we can win the trip to Hawaii two years in a row!?

Rarewagon Yahoogroup Message 975

Hi Fellow two door wagon owners:
I want to report in, and give a resounding account of the third gathering of Chevelle two door wagons this past Saturday April 8, 2006. We had 12 of the finest wagons in attendance, Dave Williams, Rick Roth, Brad Forrand, Wayne Ferrandino (3), Darryl Nance, Pat Nance, Brian Magnuson, Tom Eckholdt, Allen Petroskey and Myself. We had a GREAT TIME! We wish you could have been there. Special thanks go out to Tom Eckholdt whom drove from Arizona, Steve Benson who flew in from Minnesota, Dave Sconyers and all whom attended to support the wagons.

We scored some awards, Dave Williams - Best Modified Steel Wagon, Tom Eckholdt - Long Distance ($100 gas certificate), Art Alvarez - Best Chevelle and Brad Forrand won the Hawaii Vacation give away. The day was Perfect, warm temperature about 70 with sunny skys. We had our own half block of parking and were all lined up one right after another.

FYI- the art work for the new shirt is completed and came out Great! There will be a limited supply, please e-mail me with your requests, tees, and sweat shirts only.

Again a special thanks to all that made a supreme effort to be there.
Best Regards, Art Alvarez
See you next year.

Tom Long gave some inside news today. There will be a rarewagon on the poster for this years Huntington Beachcruiser. That means t-shirts and other promo material will have the same. Very cool.

Cudos to those that organize this event for the support they have given us. More reason to get your wagon out of the garage and join us for the event. I spoke with Art Alvarez last week. Goal is twenty-plus rarewagons for this years gathering. Don't miss this one!

This was my second trip down to the Beachcruiser and again it was an absolute joy to see all of the Chevelle wagon guys in one spot. I interviewed Jon Nesbitt who purchased a Chevelle 2-Door wagon 30 years ago that belonged to Dewey Weber, the famous surfer from California. Also interviewed Richard Fuentez who built a custom Chevelle 2-Door wagon using El Camino doors and a 4-door wagon. Very nice ride. I took over 130 photos at the show. Enjoy!
